Swimming pool designs and features have come a long way over the past few years. Today, Seacrest Pools offers a wide array of unique and exciting features for your pool.

Infinity Edge Pools

On infinity edge pools, one side of the pool has a “negative edge”, meaning that it is even with the water level in the pool. Water spills over this edge into a catch basin below, where it is then pumped back into the pool. The effect is mesmerizing as your pool creates an illusion of “floating” above the view of the yard.

Fountains, Waterfalls & Other Water Features

Incorporating a water feature, such as a fountain or waterfall, into your pool’s design can help add interest and beauty to your home. Water features come in many different styles. Such as a spa that spills over into the pool below. Or a fountain that sprays a water design rising from a shallow pool, water spouts arching water across the deck and pool’s surface, or a natural looking waterfall constructed of rock surrounded by lush beautiful landscaping. Any of these unique water features will help transform your swimming pool into an elegant backyard resort.

Rock Features

The addition of natural and/or man-made rock can have a striking effect on your swimming pool design. The use of rocks helps to create the kind of calm and serene atmosphere you’d find in nature.

Beach Entries and Sun-Shelf

Traditionally, swimming pool steps have been three or four small steps leading down into the shallow-end of the pool. As swimming pools have evolved over the years, many homeowners have chosen to use a more natural “beach entry”, which mimics the ocean shore as the deck gradually slopes under the water.

Another option is the use of a sun-shelf, which is a large first step that allows bathers to lounge in a few inches of water without being total immersed. Add an umbrella holder to this area and you have a place to cool off in the shaded water or enjoy a cold beverage while lounging in a beach chair.
