New Construction

As Easy As 1 2 3…

From Start to finish Seacrest Pools is committed to making your building experience as easy as possible. We know we’re only as good as the job we’re doing for you. All the testimonies and success stories of the past aren’t much comfort if your project isn’t handled in a way that pleases you.

Here’s What You Can Expect

Most pools take about 5 to 8 weeks to complete construction. While every custom built pool is different, the design and building process generally remains the same. Here’s what you can expect after you contact Seacrest Pools.

1. We will make an appointment to visit you at your home.

In this initial consultation, we’ll gather information about what you want to accomplish. How do you want the area to look? How will the pool be used? Then we’ll take some measurements of the yard, consider the location for sunlight and usability, and make sure that you understand all of the available options. We listen carefully so that we can seamlessly incorporate your ideas and your vision into an elegant and functional backyard getaway.

2. Usually within 3 to 4 days your custom design will be completed and ready for your review.

Using advanced design drawing software, you’ll be able to see what your new pool will look like. You’ll also be able to decide and discuss any further options, features, or details.

3. Once you decide to move forward, we can schedule the building phase of your new pool.

Plans and engineering for your pool will be submitted to the governing building department. As we help you through the permitting process, we will schedule a “pre-construction meeting” with you and provide a detailed project schedule so that you will know exactly what to expect during the construction phase. We can do this meeting in your house or our office, wherever is most convenient and comfortable for you.

4. We begin the construction of your custom pool with precise detail.

We will start by taking the dimensions from your pool plans, and mark out the design of your pool. Form boards are staked into the ground. Next, we begin the excavation process by digging out the area where the pool will be. We’ll also perform any necessary demolition, during this phase. After the site has been excavated, we will install the reinforcing steel, followed by the first part of the plumbing and electrical work. These phases will be completed before the pool goes through an initial inspection.

5. Your pool will be sprayed with a concrete known as shotcrete.

We cover the entire pool area with shotcrete. We also form the steps, sun-shelves and any benches at this stage.

6. Install coping and tile.

Once the shotcrete has cured enough, usually about a week, the coping and tile you have selected will be installed.

7. We will complete all of the custom work.

If you have decided to include features such as waterfalls, rock features, or a pergola, they will be built or installed during this phase of construction.

8. The deck of your pool will be installed.

Depending on what type of deck material that has been chosen, this process will usually be completed within 1 to 3 weeks.

9. Your pool will be plastered.

This is one of the last phases of construction. It usually takes only one day to plaster or pebble your pool.

9. Time to fill your new pool with water!

When the plaster phase is complete, your pool is ready to be filled with water. We use specially designed filter tanks to remove any harsh chemicals and metals, so your pool will have sparkling clean water from the start. Now it's time to call your friends and family for a pool party to celebrate!
